Taming the Beach

Taming the Beach

The beach lost its bite

As the sea retreated in a rush.

The sand settled to silence

The pebbles muted, toothless.

Dunes resolute, steadfast, unyielding,

Beach chatter becalmed, undisturbed.

Wind breath & wave crash quelled,

All stilled, placated, unperturbed.

________

I love the sea. It instills such complete calm in me.
