The Silence In Between

The silence in between, The quiet voices, speechless And thoughts poured into a void. Emptiness consumes And nothingness becomes our every thing. The piano notes suspended, Absorbed into still air And each unfelt heartbeat pauses, Before soft rhythmic play resumes. Each breath inhaled to a silent crescendo And held in blissful stop. Stop. And we exhale the silence, Listening to nothing. Nothing is everything. Life is lived in the beautiful pauses, For life would cease to exist Without the silence in between. _____________________________ Listen to the silence in between. And you will hear life.
