Memories Flow

Memories Flow I let my memories fall Free, drifting to river flow, Where they passed swirling Under the sculptured bridge, That spanned years, timeless. And those memories carried, In silvered reflection, Eager for journey's end. Yet the end never came, As the river flowed and joined To endless ocean. And that silvered reflection Passed to lustrous green And shimmered turquiose. Again the memories flowed On surging tide, joyful. Happy then and contained in playful waves But waves that dreamed constantly Of returning silent, calmed Passing from past to present Under that scupltured bridge again. _____________________________ Set your memories free and they will always return, carried in the wind and flowing in glinting, shimmering waters.
