Of Place and Peace I walked to favourite view And was accompanied by nothing I stopped, stood motionless And peace found me I listened intent And silence echoed loud I held my breath And wind breathed for me I closed my eyes And the picture remained the same I left reluctant, unwilling And knew I may not return Except in silent dreams And moments of still serenity
