Youth Now Aged I once craved sound But now seek silence I once desired movement But now encourage stillness I once wanted to quicken life's advance But now embrace time's slow progress I once knew everything But now know there is so much to learn _____________________________ What does age teach us? How do we adapt and change as the years pass? How does our outlook and expectation of life alter as we advance from youth to young adulthood, to early and late middle age and into old age? We are essentially still the same person...we are recognizable in photographs of us at 4 years old or 44. Yet time and experience, education and life shape and mould and change our personality as much as our physical appearance. I've changed. And as I continue to age, I feel those changes even more profoundly.
